HIRing A Honey Extractor

The club maintains several honey extractors for members to hire.
Manual extractors can be hired for up to 4 days for £10. A unit can be booked by emailing Sheila James ([email protected]) and then picked up and returned by arrangement with her. The electric extractor can be hired for 7 days for £15. This unit can be booked by emailing Ruth Chadney ([email protected]) and then picked up and returned to the apiary shed on a Sunday morning only between 10:00-12:00 hrs. Please note that this unit is very heavy and will need 2 people to load and unload it safely. At some times of the year you may have to wait for a unit to become available. It is very important to return the equipment thoroughly cleaned, ready for the next user. Handles and other contact points should be treated with 10% bleach solution.
