HIRing A Honey Extractor

The club maintains several honey extractor units for members to hire when they are required. The cost is £10 for up to 4 days for a manual extractor, and £15 for 7 days for the electric extractor. A unit can be booked through email from Sheila James ([email protected]) and then picked up and returned by arrangement with her. At some times of the year you may have to wait for a unit to become available.
If it is your first time using an extractor please ask for advice from an experienced member. They will be only too pleased to help. Good preparation saves a mass of time clearing up afterwards. It is very important to return the equipment thoroughly cleaned, ready for the next user. Handles and other contact points should be treated with 10% bleach solution.
