How do i become a member?

You too could be a member of North Somerset Beekeepers, joining our already strong cohort of 200 members. All that is required is the completion of a short form and the payment of our standard annual membership fee. Furthermore, for new members we ask if you would also complete our Gift Aid Form. But first, please see the membership incentives.

MEMBERSHIP CATegories
Registered Beekeeper is a full member of North Somerset Beekeepers branch of Avon Beekeepers Association (ABKA) and the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).
Partner Membership is intended for someone living at the same address as a registered member. A Partner Member is a full member of North Somerset Beekeepers branch of Avon Beekeepers Association (ABKA) and the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).
Country Membership is intended for someone who does not keep bees but is interested in beekeeping. A Country Member is a full member of North Somerset Beekeepers branch of Avon Beekeepers Association (ABKA) and the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).
Insurance is not included.
Junior Membership is for under 18s. A Junior member has the same benefits as a full member of North Somerset Beekeepers branch of Avon Beekeepers Association (ABKA) and the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).
Local or Branch Associate Member is intended for those who do not keep bees or are full members of another branch.
- Benefits include Public Liability Insurance for up to 3 hives with the option to cover more.
- Bee disease insurance
- Attendance to all branch talks and events
- Monthly BBKA magazine
- Access to the membership area of the BBKA site
- Cost £45

- A junior member must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
